About Department
We introduce students to the study of the human past. They gain knowledge about historical events and an understanding of the causes and processes involved in the development of cultures over time. Students also become aware of the function of change and continuities in past societies and learn to appreciate and respect the variety of human experiences across cultures.

• To create understanding about historical knowledge and research among the student.
• To make historical awareness and responsiveness between students and society of catchment area.
Mission
• Mould the students as ideal Citizens with deep knowledge of History which professes unity in diversity of our Country.
• Prepare the Students to lead to ensure peace, harmony and prosperity for all.
• Encouraging the Students to possess an exploring and critical bent of mind to analyze and organize facts.
• Make them become familiar with the historically important places and their significance.
• Guide the Students eligible for jobs in educational institutions, Civil Services, Defense Services, Administrative Enclaves etc.
