Chandrabai-Shantappa Shendure College, Hupari was established in June 1991. It is one of the leading colleges of Rayat Shikashan Sanstha, Satara. It is permanently affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur. During the academic year 2019 the college was accreditated by NAAC and received ‘B+’ grade with C.P.G.A 2.72 The college offers education up to under graduate level through B.A, B.Com and post graduate through M. Com. Hupari is a small town situated 25 km. away from Kolhapur. It is popularly known as ‘Silver City’. It has the traditional silver ornament making business. The college runs 18 skill based and value added courses for the all round development of the students. It has sound infrastructure including spacious building with adequate number of class rooms. Network resource centre, Computer Lab, English Language lab, Library as well as a spacious multipurpose hall and Girls’ Hostel, The College also runs the courses of B.A, B.Com and M.A conducted through Yashwantrao Chavan Open University, Nasik.
Chandrabai-Shantappa Shendure College, Hupari has shown its remarkable achievement during last 32 years. The Vision of the institute is to provide the quality education to all especially the deprived and downtrodden masses. With this vision the college sincerely takes efforts to develop and create educational and cultural ambience in the surrounding area of the college. The institute takes initiative for the all round development of the students. In the academic year 2018-2019 the college successfully faced the process of NAAC and it accredited by them. The college received B+ Grade with C.G.P.A. 2.72 by NAAC. The success of NAAC was possible due to the blessings of Karmaveer Anna and the fruitful guidance and support of active management as well as hardworking staff, students and all other stakeholders. With his good educational background, Late Hon. Shri Yashwantrao Chavan realised that education of the masses alone is the panacea for the populace of this country.
